Case study
Stories carved in sand.
Zandsculpturen Garderen is an open-air museum showcasing impressive sand sculptures. Each season brings a new theme to life, translated into large-scale artworks full of detail and craftsmanship. Visitors walk through scenes that don’t just impress, but tell stories. This year’s theme: 750 years of Amsterdam, sculpted in sand. We created the full editorial design for Zand Magazine, the annual publication of Zandsculpturen Garderen.

Photography included!
We also captured the exhibition through photography, and refreshed their visual identity. The magazine is the first real taste of the theme. So it had to do more than inform. We visited the park ourselves to shoot the photos—this gave us full control to capture the sculptures exactly how we wanted them to come across in print. The flyer at the entrance and the internal style handout followed that same tone.
